Paint to be removed from statue shortly

The Resources Ministry said today that its technical people had examined the paint thrown at a street statue of St Dominic in Vittoriosa yesterday. The paint will be removed in the coming days.

The Ministry condemned the vandalism.

Hang on, it's only a statue of a Christian Saint, there's no need to put so much fuss on such a thing. It's a vandalism issue, fair enough, but is all this fuss being made simply because it's a "Christian" Saint. Should it have been a random statue or merely the wall on a condemned building will it have shot the headlines?

Well done!!!!!!!!!!!! Please ensure that this is not done again. Its a popular sport in Vittoriosa to throw paint to St Dominic Statue. The last time was pink. No frame ups here only ignorance at its peak. Is this all because the small domenican community does a very popular and also a religious feast
