“You’re on in 5 minutes!”

I can’t explain the feeling I get just before I take the stage. Every time it’s the same mad rush of emotions, each so completely different to one another, all trying to make their way into my head. I’m not a diva…I’m ok with people being around me just before I get on, but I need to focus. So I take those 15 minutes… alone just thinking. MY concerts are a big deal to me. In My opinion an artist shows his/her true colours when they kick ass live, and I want to kick as hard as ever!

Backstage is always crazy, the band and I are always very eager to get up there and play as if it were our last gig ever. I always nearly shed a tear before I go on. I don’t really know what that’s all about. I guess it’s just an overload of emotional activity! I think about the people who really mattered and really matter to me.

Fixed in my memory is the late Josie Coppini , one of Malta’s finest actors who told me I would go as far as I would let myself go, I just had to believe. Also my late uncle David, who was such a joyous soul and who was present at every single launch. I think of my family who lend all their support and about Howard who is my mentor and closest friend. I think how all these people really left their imprint in my soul.

I step on and the warm lights caress my face….. The music starts and from then on….I’m finally home. I’m somewhere, where my words are stronger than my actions and where I can see that people can relate to the same pain, happiness, excitement that I feel!

Everyone escapes and runs away somewhere…sometimes during the day…be it in their thoughts or in their dreams at night….but you’ll always get the real ME on stage…the one who wants to scream at people, the one who wants to provoke, the one who wants to be sensual, the one who wants to comfort, the one who wants to share her soul through her music.

I will be real and live and kicking this Saturday. I just can’t wait…I can’t wait to play to all the people who have helped and supported me for all this time!!!! I can’t wait to play “Fortune Teller” as loud as I possibly can….so that they can also hear it up in Heaven!

Ira Losco’s official album launch is this Saturday at SKY Super Club in Paceville.

I can understand your passion for music and your 'GENN!' to go onstage live. It is addictive. It is powerful , and it gives you a rush such as no other thing on earth can. Forget drugs, forget drinks..THIS is what life is all about! It happens to all of us when we play live , albeit on a smaller scale...but the gratitude to the fans is still there.

YES! Live shows KICK ASS!

Hi Ira. I have always admired your lively spirit that you bring around wherever you are around. You music is unique and amazing! I just came across a song sung by you in Maltese called "Fejn Stahbejtli". As all your songs are, it is wonderful and I must say that it has touched my heart. It has came to my ears when I am experiencing a moment where two of our friends have their child and daughter just diagnosed with cancer. She is 8 and he is just 7. I keep on listening to your song and keep on remember of the wonderful days that I have seen in these kids. Sometimes music reach out to those difficult points within one's heart where it is difficult to express. Amazing how your voice keep on singing in my mind with those soothing and caring lyrics! Keep up the good work Ira and may you reach to hights that you have always wished on!

I would like to add my congrats as well. I loved every minute of last saturday's concert, I was having so much fun that I felt 1hr and 30 mins passed by much too quickly. I wish I could kill time :) !! Your voice live was as good as the recording one.. correction.. even better. I agree with you when you said: "In My opinion an artist shows his/her true colours when they kick ass live, and I want to kick as hard as ever!" To be honest i had liked your music from the beginning but i only became a real fan when I had the opportunity of hearing you live about a year and a half ago because you DEFiNITELY kick some ass when you perform live!! Last Saturday was a pure proof! So keep it up girl... i hope we'll have a summer full of losco gigs, was a bit disappointed cause I could not wait to meet you afterwards since I could not leave my friends, but i hope I will soon. A big WELL DONE goes to your band and management as well, MAY GOD BLESS YOU x x x x

Me and my wife attended the concert. I really enjoyed the concert. It was pure adrenaline. The band was awesome. It was great to see all those people having fun with such a talented loval artist. The new songs are full of emotional power. It should be done more often! Thanks Ira!

I'm so disappointed with Ira Losco and her management team.
I really like FORTUNE TELLER! But unfortunately, Ira Losco and her team seem to be unaware of the great benefits that the internet promotion offers. You aim to hit foreign markets ::
- when you don't have an appropriate website?
- when your MySpace page is rarely updated (when compared to other artists' page, it so lacks attractiveness)?
- when it is so difficult for someone living abroad to buy your albums (because there is almost no link from where to order)?
- when the nowadays popular bloggers (that review new music) are unaware of your releases?

Before aiming to reach UK and US charts, an artists MUST promote himself/herself on the internet! Almost all of these methods are free and they can be so effective!
As an Ira Losco fan, seeing this lack of interest in internet promotion, I FEEL VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Sorry Ira, got to correct you on one thing. For us you are a Diva and don't forget it. You have gone a long way since and we are proud of you.

I must say I've liked Ira Losco's voice ever since I first heard her perform during the MSFE, but I've never been exactly a fan. I won a pair of tickets for the concert last Saturday and knowing that I liked whatever songs I heard from Accident Prone I went. Now, I do consider myself a fan of her music. Her live performance is beautiful and real, I couldn't help enjoying myself even if I didn't know many of the songs. Well done and I must say this woman is the best image of Malta for any foreign fans. Great job and keep it up Ira!

Ira is what i call a true artist. She doesnt simply do music to while away the time or as a hobby, music is her life. You know it because u dont only hear her music but you can feel it in your skin. Her music has a life of its own, it belongs to her and somehow she delivers it to us. Her wonderful world of hope, love, passion, enthusiasm and colours. She's one artist who has set her creativity loose without fear and this bold approach has exposed her as an inspiration. I thank Ira for giving me these feelings and for helping me through her music. Keep it up Ira u are great!

i have always said to my friends that what makes you stand out is your charisma (along with your good looks, but that is secondary) refreshing to hear a lady admitting she feels sensual. good for you ira. pity i cannot be present for your concert as i work abroad, but rest assured that your new album will be in my music collection. Lots of people say that you are big headed, though i suspect they do not even know you. i have never met you but to me you come across as a woman to reckon with. if i were not married and a bit younger, you'd have a heck of a time trying to fend off my attention...alas maybe in the second lifetime. IRA YOU ROCK BABY
